Return of Holy Kiswah Pieces to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques

I hope this message finds you well. My name is Syed Muhammad Saleem, and I write to address a matter of deep personal and spiritual significance related to two blessed pieces of the Kiswah (Ghilaf-e-Kaaba), which have been in my family for generations.

My grandfather, Syed Abdul Sattar, chief of pilgrims performed Hajj in 1923 and was honored by King Abdul Aziz of Saudi Arabia with two pieces of the Kiswah—one black (from the outer side of the Kaaba) and one red (from the inner side).

These were passed down to my late father, Syed Abdul Ghaffar Naqvi, and eventually to me, as per my wishes. My father handed over to my wife, my paternal cousin.

However, a dispute arose when my elder brother requested one of the pieces, and it was framed and displayed without my consent. Despite the spiritual reverence held by my family for these relics, I felt the sacred items were being treated as objects of contention, rather than symbols of unity and faith.

After much reflection, I have decided that the rightful place for these sacred pieces is with the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, to return them to their original custodian, Crown Prince Muhammad bin Salman, the grandson of King Abdul Aziz.

I am prepared to present photographs of the Kiswah for verification and hand them over to the Saudi Embassy or Consulate General in Karachi for safe return.

I trust that my actions will honor the sanctity of these blessed pieces and bring peace to my family.
